Brake Light switch????

O.K. so I got the clutch pedal moved over to my new car, but I forgot how the brake light pressure switch went on.....more specifically which order the parts go on the "stalk" I'm talking of course about the switch, the pedal, the washer, and the other washer piece with the spacer built in......help please.

i'm quoting haynes manual here "position the switch so it straddles
the pushrod and the slot on the inner side of the switch rests on the
pedal pin. slide the pushrod and swich back onto the pin, then install the nylon washer and retaining clip."
