I've had enough of my stock flat grandma LTD seats.
A guy I know will give me his 91 GT seats for free. They need reupholstering but I'll do that later. I also have a pair of broken Escort GT seats (just like 84-85 Mustang GT) with the halo headrests. Will the halo headrests fit the 91 seats? I love the look of the halo headrests and would like to use them.

I'm pretty sure they will fit...

I sell sets on ebay all the time, they will fit any ford seat with the single sliding headrest post. I've heard of people using them in the 94+ mustangs too.

I see it can be done, but how do you do it? Do they just slide out? BTW your car looks nice Caprisvo, did the car have power windows or did you add it on later?

I have the exact same in my 84 - 89 seats with the 84 halos. The halos are held in by a metal "tang" that presses force upon the tongue attached to the headrest. One way to get the ones out (if the seat is out of the car) is to pull up quickly and sharply. If this doesn't work, you can unzip the seat cover at the bottom and feel upwards inside the cover until you feel the mechanism. I usually carefully send a screwdriver up to keep the "tang" from locking the tongue.
To put them on the 89 seats, there is a rectangular plastic piece on top of the seat. You will need to discard this.

You can also very carefully pull down on the front of the seat cover and release the little tab with a long screwdriver. Sometimes its easier to do it this way, but most of the time it is easier to go in from the backside of the seat like Puter said.
