Well my poor little fox body had a little boo, boo the other night.. It was really screwed up bad but, The front clip is still good. So here is question. I know the 87 and up will bolt up to a 85 but will the 85 bolt up to the 87 and up. I like the interior of the newer foxes a little bit better. I would like to keep the foureyed look because, I love it. Thanks for the input, Will. BTW here is a crappy pick of the car, I'll get you guys some more when I get them in a couple of days.

Go find a four eyed car that was converted to an aeronose (87-93)...give the guy next to nothing for it because nobody wants those cars after that swap and put your nose onto it. You'll save a true four eye...and increase the value of the car $1k when it sports the correct nose again.

BTW, good to see you're still breathing.

The whole thing of me doing this is I like the interior of the newer foxes better. I just don't want to go the hassel of changing the interior over. I was in the car when I got hit. I'm barely just breathing, 7 broke ribs, 2 punctured lungs, big ass bruises all over.LOL

Dude that sucks ass! Talk about pain, glad to hear you're (kinda) okay :) Hope things get better for you.

To save you a few hassels, if you get an 87+ and decide to swap the front end, just take the whole front. Fenders, hood, and clip. If your use 87+ funders you'll have to drill holes to make everything line up. Thats about all there is to it. You also have to either splice the headlight wires ect to make them work with the 4 eye front end, or get a 4 eye wiring harness. Either way (int. swap or front end swap) you are looking at a fair bit of work :) Good Luck.

I'm glad that you're o.k. and I feel sorry for your loss. I hope that you find another Mustang and rebuild to your heart's content. As for the nose swap, it will bolt on just fine. My brother installed an '84 GT nosepiece onto his '90 LX with good results. He did have to rewire the single headlights so that the foureyed headlights would work. Good luck!

Sure, sure, pin the nose swap on your twin brother ;)

Don't forget you have to drill 2 extra holes in the fender extensions of the 87+ Fenders to line to bottom of the 79 - 86 Nose up. I'm having this problem trying to put my 86 nose back on my 86 after someone swapped it to 87+ Fenders, hood, front clip ect.. The extension holes will not line up.. Which is why I recommend just using 79 - 86 Fenders, the holes are kind of a PITA to get right :)

If you are using your old fenders the swap will be a breeze, If you remove the fenders with the front clip still atattched all you basically have to do is unbolt the fenders and bolt them on to the other car lol.

I believe everything is interchangable from 79 - 90, 91 and after changed the fenders and stuff. You will have to look at changing the hood over aswell since thye changed the style of that over the years quite a bit.

Read some more posts... looks like the fenders changed too, but dont forget the hood :)

He's using his original fenders since they weren't damaged, as well as his original front clip. ;) As for hoods, any old 83 - 86 hood will be fine. 72 - 82 and 87 + were different dimesions and will not fit.

Actually my hood is good too. Well I tore it a part today. The 5 lug 3.55 8.8 rearend is fine. So my whole running gear is good. I had an aftermarket drivshaft and it was bent 4 ways and broke in 2 different spots.

Aw man that's bad.... real bad. But, as was told to me after my Futura got hit... "your alive and that's what counts." But alot of people don't feel the emotional loss that we feel when we loose a car that we love.

I know you're physically worse off than I am though and I'm glad you're alive and well. I am also sorry for the loss of your Stang.

What happened?

Anyways, good luck on the aero to 4 eye'd swap. I've toyed with that idea for a bit.... Hell, DeanT has even thought about swaping a Fairmont front clip onto a Aero-stang... just for kicks.... and to throw a "WTF?" to the stang people. I think that'd be funny. I had sugested to DeanT that he do the aero to 4 eye'd swap to his 89 LX 5L hatch... but sofar he's said no.

Just a damn 2005 mitsubishi galant. Tha lady just got it 3 weeks before hand. A car pulled out in front of me( I was speeding a little bit about 7-8 mph over) on a long sweeping curve and I had to put on my kinda hard and my car lost traction and slid into the other lane and the lady hit me. I also had some bald ass Nittos on it. I should hadn't even been driving it.
