Removing paint from the body tag

Anyone have any tips for removing paint from the body tag on the drivers door?

Call me crazy but I'd like to read it :)

I would try rubbing compound and gently rub away the paint.

Turtle wax makes some that you can get at pep boys. It is red paste and comes in a green tub.

It will take you a while if it's been laid on thick.

A conservative amount of paint thinner on a rag and little bit of elbow grease.

A liberal amount of WD-40 (or equivalent) on a rag an a copious amount of elbow grease.

Those detailing "clay bars" work great for overspray
Maybe that would work for you

I would use acrosol, however it might be possible with thinner (CAREFULLY) slip and you could either wipe off writing or smudge your paint.

Personally I would see if its possible to get another printed and just replace it. Expecially if the paint has been able to cure for more then 48hrs.
