First I bought this POS for no real reason. I was just gonna fix what was wrong with it. Then I was gonna do some basic mods and fix the couple problems. Then I was thinking about making it my daily driver with an EFI conversion. I left her in this state 8 months ago pretty much gutted drivetrain wise.

Well a couple days I think I finally figured out what to do with her. I need a daily driver, and would like to have a toy. My current daily driver, and only car is my notch with gears, exhaust, and a S-Trim Its been fun driving it the last couple months, but the gas mileage isn't the best, the rear end whines, etc. First as stated, I need a daily driver. Thats gonna be the notch. She's gonna be de-blown, new gears installed(3.55s may be more cross country driving friendly), and A/C installed.

Now for the capri :) The 8.8 is already in, and the t5 is sitting next to her. Engine wise, I already have a 89 302. I plan to clean it up(oil pan is rusting, valve covers were leaking, etc) and make it look as good as new, honestly. I want it looking like a zero mile fresh from ford 302. While cleaning her up, due to 155K miles, I think it would be in my best interest to learn how to install new headgaskets., as well as a new timing chain. Currently there are not any plans for an aftermarket heads or cam, but who knows. I still plan on EFI, and mass air as well. Yeah...cause I now have this S-Trim sitting around. And what do you do with fresh headgaskets...you give them a lot of boost. I bought this S-Trim used. It wsa origionally sold as an Anderson Ford Motorsport 14lb S-Trim kit. So I am finally going to put that 2.95 pulley to use. This should give her some great street manor(no I don't street rave, but I sure love beating on my cars) The total goal, to drive to the track on 17" nittos, run a 11.93(my notches best) and drive home.

Now to firtst find a place here in Fl, where I can keep, and work on her. Then I just have to get her here, locate a 86 EFI harness, a mass air conversion, some fuel lines and tank, detail, clean, and then beat the piss out of her.

I honestly don't know about carbs. I have my notch running fine with EFI and a blower.

kevin, you don't need the 86 harness + mass air conversion. You can easily install any 89+ harness. The harness in my 84 is a modified 91 harness.

if you are serious about the conversion, I can tell you where all the wiring goes. I also have the scans of the motorsport EFI conversion harness manual. It's easy to follow. I have helped several people convert early foxes over including my own.

There are always inexpensive harnesses on ebay. This one is complete from an 89. Plus you can find A9L's or A3M1's all the time on ebay. I just bought two extras, one for $50, the other for $70.
