I haven't been around for a while , so I thought I would ramble for a bit ...let every one know what I'm doing with my old ride ....84 gt t-top ....347 ....bla bla bla ...well I will remove the top end tomorrow to find the damage , remember I bent all the pushrods ....will inventory the damage and order up parts ...send the heads into my buddy at the machine shop ...and wait for my rear axles to come ...yup ...I've finally stepped up ...and I'm getting the 04 bullitt wheels on ....got tires today ..had a guy that owed me ..got a set of 4 245 45 17 proxy's out of him .....mounted and balanced ...and they do look sweet set up against the side of the wheels I have on it now ....the 10 holes whith 235 60 15's ......the bullits are a tad taller than the 15's on it ..and with the lowering springs I plan on installing with the 5 lug swap .....man am I amped .....now to get the sn-95 front parts ......and the turbo coupe sway bar I've been holding on to ...just need to weld on my subframe connectors ....this thing is going to ride like on rails ....I'll have to save some money aside for a dig. camera so I can keep you guys informed as I go ......this 500.00 car is getting to be a lot of fun ......If any one else has pictures of their fox with bullits .....let me see them please ....thanks for listening to me .....I'm just an old guy having fun with his toys ..... 8)

Sounds like a great car. Some of the stuff is along the lines of what I'm doing with my car :D
As soon as you get a dig. camera, post lots of pics, and i mean LOTS. We can't get enough of pics of good cars.

Sounds like a nice set of upgrades. :) I missed the story about the engine damage, what happened there?
I'm also a fan of the bullits. I've already decided that they would be the wheels I install if I ever had the funds to get it accomplished. Good choice!

by the end of today I will update the damage ....it had bewen cold to out standards here ....not as cold as some of you have it ...but none the less , I'll have it apart today ....the bullits were fairly inexpensive ....I did some work for a guy that does a little slolom racing ...has a wacked out datsun 510 .....and a sick 240 Z ...his daily driver is a 04 Lightening....any way I got the wheels for 150.00 about 6 hours labor ....the car they came from had been totaled by a TFTF freak ...drifting into acurb and rolling the car ....was new... ....one wheel had a little rash ...I've wet sanded it and recleared ...and it looks like new...or close enough .....I'm not building a show car ....just one to have fun in and to keep the torch burning....as an old guy I always get looks from the yungun's as I rumble up to their honda's and mitsubi****ty's ....they wind up their litle fart pipes ...which I can hardley hear because of the open headers.....and when the light turns green ....so do their faces , as the old guy wipes the road up with those little snot rags of a car ......by the way I also have one of those over priced honda's also ....92 acura gsr...got that from a kid that rode in the 84 before I broke it last summer .....he had seized the engine ....wanted me to fix the car ....never paid ...soI have it ...a really nice girls car ...and it will be my 15 year old daughter's car .......well I;ve got to get dressed and out to the garage to get started on the teardown ....talk to you all later today .....AShley

...well it wasn't a real good day , but not that bad either...got the engine apart ...pulled the heads , and front cover ....timing chain is junk ,crank sproket had no teeth left on it ...cam has 2 flat lobes , and the vavles did take a hit ....poured solvent into the runners , and everything is sealing fine , will still drop them off today to have them checked ...everything else looks real good ....has some mileage on it but it will last thru the spring and summer ....this engine does,nt appear to be everything the guy said it was , but for 500.00 it is fine .....the alum. heads , and 347 stroker kit , billet rods and steel crank , forged pistons , ... 8) ...well it is off to work so I can pay for these things ......guess this no longerfits under the heading of suspension mods ..........ashley

Well you certainly brought us up to speed quickly. Sorry to hear about all the engine damage. If you plan on doing any suspension work, buy and read "Mustang Performance 2" if you haven't already. Tells you everything you need to know.

...the heads checked out excelent ..... :D ordered up all the new stuff ....cam kit , push rods , gear drive ..gaskets ..etc....also have worked a deal for the rear axles and drums , should have most of the pieces by the end of this week ....My birthday is on the 14th and hell or high bong water , it will be running and driving with the new bullits .....and then I gues I'll have to get some exhaust on it ....I've been driving it since I put it together with open long tubes .....and the police haven't even looked at me twice ....even had them up beside me , and they just went on with their business , which eveidently didn't include me 8)

.now I'm back on track with the title ....will recieve my complete sn95 front suspension on thursday , still trying to pin this other guy down on his axles and rear drums ....but I am making forward progress ordered the replacement cam and lifters , pushrods , gaskets ,....still trying to get a good price on the gear drive ......but the suspension on the front will at least be complete by the weekend ...I may even be able to swap the entire rear housing for the lower gears ...for some strange reason mine came with 3:08 ls .....I've got another with 3:45 ls....with this done..I'll be finished with the underside , except for usual maintance items ....thanks for letting me ramble ......should take another bong hit and drink another beer
