it comes the inevitable time in which i have to tune up the untunable, the Ford Aerostar.
things i need to know, where is the furl filter located and what is the spark plug gap for a 3.0 EFI v6?
its gonna be fun trying to change spark plugs!
what is the easiest way to get into those damned things?

You can get to some from the front and some from underneath(alot easier with a lift) and I think through the wheelwell. It's been awhile since I have worked on one. Fuel filter should be underneath the car, just follow the lines.

Fuel filter is on the underside of the van on the drivers side. Takes less than 3 minuites to change. Have something to stop the fuel from running out of the rails and onto you.
The plugs take like 45 mins to change. CAn get some thru the passengers side wheel well, some from underneath, the rest from up top. Its nice to have some long and short socket extensions to get it all done. The plug gap should be listed on the emissions sticker under the hood.

Yup, I've done a tuneup on one of those beasts. Everyone is right. Some up top, some through the inner fender.
