Just got my capri running and insured. By Monday she should be registered and the title in my name.
But then I have to get her inspected and I'm pretty sure you need to have back-up lights to pass inspection. and right now they're MIA
So... where's the wiring for the back up lights? I have a couple loose wires under the hood and at least one melted wire out back under the car by the fuel tank. I'm guessing it's one of the ones under the hood, but not sure...
anyone gotta clue?
83 Capri 5.0 RS
can't wait to be driving her. I had to bring her around the corner in the snow, hit the gas and the rear flew out it was awesome, I wanna do donuts so bad.

another thing... does it mean anything when fuel pressure gauge doesnt move? could that be one of the wires under the hood?
I'm still new at most of this stuff... so any help is appreciated
Thanks
John

backup light switch is located on trans. you didn't state if its auto or 5 speed
also your fuel gauge is probaly the wire thats off under the car near the tank

could be wiring in the hatch area for the BU lights, or it could be a connection from the transmission too....i believe that the fuel wire is covered in a pink wrap, and it is in the hatch area by the spare tire hole...that's how it is on my mustang anyways

damn... i been messin around with the fuel system so much i can't think bout other things. it isn't the fuel pressure gauge...it's the oil pressure gauge that doesn't move.
and it's a 5 speed... and it would make sense that the back up lights are connected to that so i'll chekc it out

the oil pressure sending part is back near the firewall under the intake. might be one of those wires go to it
