The talking heads on the TV can't stop blabbering about the 2 feet of snow we're gonna get
Has anyone gotten hit with this storm yet?
Is it really that bad?

Its snowing here right now, but we only have about 5 inches on the ground so far. They are predicting about 8" overall. There was just enough to have some fun driving in to work this morning. I did a few 4wd donuts with my Explorer in the parking lot here. There is a guy out in the parking lot changing his alternator right now. We can barely even see him its snowing so hard.
Thank God were not expected to get 2 feet like you guys!

Snows a-here.
It just started about an hour ago and there is already almost an inch on the ground. They said it wasn't supposed to start until 2, so maybe since it started early it will end early.

I'd get pics but I'm on my brothers laptop right now. From the pic, it looks like it's comming down about 3 times harder here than where your at. Hopefully that means that it's ending as I have a canopy out there that I have to go out and bang the snow off the roof every about 30 minutes. :(

I've got 8" right now, and I'm southwest of Lake Michigan. I have some friends who live closer to the lake and they have 13" right now. It is still snowing. I was one of the few who made it into work today for dome overtime.

I'm up to almost 9 inches. It's great though, they say if the warmer front with sleet and rain doesn't hit me, I could get up to 16 inches of snow

It hasn't stopped snowing here since October!! Atleast you guys don't get -50 weather like us, now that sucks. We had a chinook last week, so most of the snow melted, but it's starting again already... Back down to -25 too :x

I always try to remember, "at least I'm not in Canada". :) Nothing against Canada, except for the harsh winter weather!

Ug, it's getting kinda nasty now
I heard helicopters when I was shoveling
There's only one reason helicopters fly in a blizzard 'round here
It means Lifestars had to land on the bridge (Rte 95 over the Connecticut River)
That can't be good

I just got home from a Mexican restaurant where I ate my dinner out on the outdoor patio. I drove home with the sunroof open, but I had to roll up the windows because it was a little too cold. Brrrr, winter.

Williamsport, Pennsylvania reporting in at 4 inches. It is lightly snowing still. We are supposed to pick up an additional inch overnight. I called mom to see how much they have back at home in Lititz, Pennsylvania and she said there is about 7 inches there. Tomorrow they are expecting flurries, 15 degrees, and a 25 mph wind!

Whatchu talkin bout, Willis? My car has a full engine/trans swap from another car, aftermarket intake/exhaust/heads/cam, makes about double the horsepower than it did from the factory, and is 100% smog legal and runs clean!
http://www.ltdlx.org/misc/BAR%20LABEL.JPG
Not to mention I could actually drive my car right now (well if it was running, that is).
But if you want to rub anything in, I'm sure a house in your neighborhood costs 1/5 what it does here ;)
me-chanix
01-22-2005, 11:42 PM
I wouldn't go as much as 1/5, maybe 1/2 since housing prices around me are rising.

Just saw on the news the other night, average home price here is $495K. That's rub-in-able.

Midnight
Just got in from shoveling about 7, 8 inches
It's tough to gauge 'cause it's drifting
They say on the TV another 12 hours to go

after a little shoveling I decided to go out and have a good time tonight!!
man was this fun. looks like close to a foot, but lots of drifts everywhere.
my neighbors must think i am nuts. loud cars in the summer, 4x4's driving into snow drifts in the winter.

It's blowing like crazy, maybe 40+MPH gusts
Snows still coming down
My porch I shoveled last night @ midnight is still clear, but other parts I shoveled have 3 feet on them
I can see the neighbors minivan from here
The drift behind it goes up to the roof and spreads out for 25 feet behind it
She's not going anywhere for a while

We ended up with a foot of snow instead of just 8". Its nice and sunny today, but only reaching 17* F with steady 20+ mph winds. It took my wife and I 2hrs to shovel our driveway and sidewalks.

Prolly got a foot, maybe a little more
Hard to say, it drifted all over
Finally done shoveling, can get all the vehicles out of the drive
Some places it was 6"...some places 3'
The wind is still whipping around out there
Some storm
