Where can i find a cheper replacement body molding for when i am done painting my 79, i cant seem to find it anywhere

also, when it rains my front clip shrivels up like a peice of bacon, how do i prevent this/ restore it too it natural shape?

From what I have been told you cannot get 79 - 86 moldings anymore. No one makes em. You will have to search the yards too find one of these cars with them on it and remove them there. I was lucky and only needed the front fender moldings near the doors.

As for the front clip shriveling up when it gets wet, you will probably need to get a new one off a doner car. If you can find some old side mouldings off another car, you can do like Hissing Cobra does. I freeze the mouldings in the freezer and it will crystalize the adhesive and the metal strip will pull right off in one piece. It has worked on 10 pieces so far. ;)
If you can find some new, you might have to pay upwards of 95.00 for each piece. 8O
