Well, i finally got my Craftsman Mig Welder. Ordered it about 2 weeks ago. I am so excited, and anxious to learn. My neighbor works at a metal shop and is going to teach me. I can do all my own work now: Weld/Replace the Floor Pans, Subs, Battle Boxes, Fill Holes in the Engine Bay, and much more! :D Just thought i would share, lol. TL

I had fun learning how to weld. It's a bit frustrating in the beginning though. especially when mating thin metal and thick metal (like the floorboards to the thick metal plates of my rollbar). You can blow throw the floorpans so easily.
make sure and get the proper gear, like proper welding gloves and always protect your arms with long sleeves. also an auto-dimming helmet is great to have.
have fun!

That looks just like the Clarke welder I have, but mine is blue. Have fun with it.

Don't forget to cover up your neck or at the least, put some sunscreen on it if you get sunburn easily. Fortunately, my grandpa was Mexican and my grandmother was full blooded Arapaho so I don't burn. Everyone in my welding class thought I was insane when I only wore gloves and a helmet

lol Deleted. Thanks for the Tips Guys. I will hopefully be able to play with it on saturday, have to work all day tomarrow. Also, i still need to get a mask and some scrap metal to practice on. Cant wait! Really want to start on my projects, but im sure it will take me while to get the basic's down. Should be lots of fun, this is something i have always wanted to do. :D TL
