My 81' PCV valve has finally bit the dust, I can get the filter for it no problem but the clip that holds it into place is shot. I had work try and find one for me but there are none.

I just plan to replace the valve cover from my old type too the newer (2.3L) Aluminum Turbo one I have. I know that the oil cap goes on the *big* hole  but I am not sure what I have to do too hook up or setup a new PCV setup for what I currently have as the new cover has a small hole in it aswell. I was trying to find pics of the engines so I could figure it out but I am having difficulties with that.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

The turbo 2.3l aluminum valve cover has, as you said, 2 holes. The big one is for the oil fill cap. The second smaller hole (further back, on the driver's side I believe) is for your pcv hose or filter. What you can do that would be easy and effective would be simply to plug that small hole and get an oil fill cap like what my 86 capri has with the hose right in it and connect it to your air cleaner. As long as air can be drawn into the valve cover thru one of those holes, you will be fine.

The oil fill cap is already what I have and I cant get them anymore... So I will just end up putting on my 2.3T valve cover and put in a pcv valve from that year and modify a tube to goto my air cleaner that way. Hope to do it saturday... will try and remember my camera.
