well they got one in that we wanted color wise but it has leather seats we have it for the next couple days i am dring it everywhere even with the 2 inches of snow.if we dont want the car we have to deliver it back on friday.this thing feels pretty good for a stock mustang i hope to find a dry road tommarrow with the g-tech.so we are still deciding wether to keep it or not now mind you we will be having our 4th child in may/june.our payments will be around 375 a month and im out with a bad back right now and have to have multable operations in the next year,so its a big deceision for us.i think as for affording it i dont see any problems but we have alot of big things coming up.what would you guys do??i want a 05 parked next to my 85!!

Sounds like you need a minivan.

From an outsider point of view:
4 kids
off work
if I recall, building a home etc.
I don't think the '05 would be a great idea...
Unless you, the wife, and the kids are all midgets, then it would be like a clown car.... But I think that is stretching it some.... (insert circus music here)

I agree with that statement as well. I figure Ford to bring back the BOSS 302 by then (remember the GT-R?). Oh yeah, the Cobra too.

well i'll be the devils advocate here and tell you to get it.
What is your reason for wanting it? You already have a vehicle that can be used for hauling the family around in so it's pointless to pick up another family car.
If you want, why not lease this one for 2 years, and pick up an 07 when they come out. But do you really want to hold out for an 07? Is anything about 07 even set in stone? Live for the moment, cars are usually never permanent anyways(even though we'd like to think that we'll hold onto it forever).

Unless it gets canned like the Lightning mid-development (not because of the published reasons, by the way), it's set in stone. And you're not going to be dissapointed. :p

Yep. I think he might know a little about what's going on.
BTW, I'm pretty sure I saw you in the B57 garage earlier this week as I was passing through. I was going to stop and say hello, but you looked busy. And no I don't think you know me.

8O Small world. I take it you've seen the '90 GT with the 402 Windsor, and the '98 converted to a 351, now getting a 427. We've got all the cool toys!
It's funny, when I first started at 57, mechanics who had never met me before recognized me from the craptastic Mail Jeep. I guess it's (in)famous in Roush land. :D

LOL, that's where I recognized you from too. How long have you been at Roush?
I get bounced around our local buildings and sometimes inside Ford and loaned to other companies, so I get to see and work on alot of cool projects. It just sucks not being able to tell anyone about anything.

Ha! I haven't even driven that turd (Jeep) to 57 yet. I'm suprised you could pick me out in a crowd.
Anyway... been at Roush since 2002. Spent most of that time over at 9, then some time down in Ohio. Just got over to 57 in November... so far I'm loving it.
The non-disclosure agreement sucks, but you get used to it. Little snippets aren't bad, and anything in the public domain is fair game- like the GT control arm issue, or the fuel tanks. They couldn't hide that one for too long. :( It's pretty easy to tell when you're not supposed to say anything.
I remember over at 9, one of the mechanics was posting on a grand am board about the new Mazda 6 development cars. Ford security came into our building, and forcibly escorted him out. Dumbass. 8O
I take it you're in the design area, across from SVT?
It was a shock when I walked in the restroom and John Coletti was in there brushing his teeth. 8O

Sounds like the right decision to me. I don't believe you will regret it.
