I'm rebuilding the 2V motorcrap carb on my '82 GT and the instructions in the kit do not appear to have the specs for my carb. Can anyone check this out for me.
Carb is a Motorcraft E2ZE BAA
Kit is a Hygrade 1492B
I want to be sure the kit is right so I get the right power valves and such.

i believe that is a motorcraft 2150 series carb...check that carb kit and see if it works for the 2150 series
That's actually a good 2bbl carb. I wouldn't mind having a 2150 from an 82 GT cause they were much better than the POS Variable Venturi (VV) carb on all the other fords at the time. the 2150 on the 82 GT's also had a little more CFM than the earlier 2150s for the passenger cars.
I had a VV on my 79 Futura that I had to clean twice a week to keep that thing running FAIR. I tossed on a 2150 and the car ran great. I am now going to toss that carb on my 78 Fairmont to replace it's troublesome VV.
When you don't want that 2150... remember me... I'll take it off your hands!

Hey guys, thanks for the responses. Yup, its a 2150, and the gaskets in the kit I got even had the same Ford part number stamped into them as the gaskets on the carb. So I'm guessing they gave me the right kit. Damn thing was $60! Most expensive carb rebuild kit I ever bought. Anyway, I overhauled the carb today, hopefully it should work better now. (too cold to put it back on today LOL) There was a lot of crap in it from sitting etc. The carb does not look like it was ever touched since Ford bolted in on in 1982. The car ran but it had no power and wouldn't idle until it warmed up. Once it warmed up it would idle ok but the exhaust fumes would sting your eyes because it was running so rich. Cat was plugged up too but I took it off. I'm going to keep the carb with the engine, which I may use in something else when I build up a new 4V roller motor for the car. If I do part with it, I'll let you guys know.

Ahah I went out and cleaned the snow off the hood of the '82 today and bolted the carb back on. It wouldn't stay running at first, but once it warmed up it ran awesome. I could snap the throttle open and it would rev right up with no hesitation or backfiring and then slam it shut again and not stall. It sounded really mean  . Best of all the exhaust no longer stings your eyes.

Anybody know where there is a decent tutorial of a 2150 rebuild? The Haynes manual doesn't show crap.
