The rear window trim on my car is coming undone from the clips and i cant get them to snap back on. The trim sticks up from the car and makes noise when i get on the freeway. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

i was thinking duct tape, but im not ghetto enough.

You may need new clips. These should be available at a parts store, though you may have to order them. At the very least, they should have catalogs that you can look through to find them. Or, take one out and head to the nearest junkyard. You will probably find the same clips on other FORD vehicles of the same era (if no Mustangs are available.)

If it's not the clips, the "track" that the clips snap into may be worn or bent. You won't really find this unless you take the trim off. Good Luck!

Or just stop at a auto glass replacement shop and ask for some ford clips. My shop has them, others should also.

Thanks! But how do you put the trim on the clip? I know its hard to explain. I cant seem to push the trim onto the clips,it keeps popping up :x And im not sure if they are bad or not :?

When the clips are new they fit tight to the body. Sometimes you have to really smack the trim to get it to go between the clip and the body. If the clips are old, rusted or damaged they may not be tight to the body anymore. Therefore they won't hold onto the trim. Or it could be that the trim is bent underneth where the clip clips on to it.
