Well I got my saleen early last month. Had it for a month and have already done a intake/TB/strut brace. Next is a 125 shot, some detail work, paint touch up, and such. The blower is coming next year. ;) Here's some exterior pics of it from Kyle (Evil86lx).

It's a real Saleen. It's been verified by Saleen.. #97
The motor has been changed at one time and it's been repainted back to the stock color sometime in the past. So their are a few thing's that are not period correct on the car.

I'm also pretty sure that Rich is aware of what a Saleen is :D

The early fox Saleens have an emblem in the car. Most have them on the ashtray lid. Although I have seen them on the shifter bezel. I am not sure what year they started badging under hood but I know it was in the aero fox era. This 86-0097 is for the most part original It did have a MAF conversion and a newer 87-93 intake manifold. It has all the Saleen specific stuff except the Kenwood KRC7000 stereo. Strut braces were only on the 86 R models which were race only.

I'm learning bit by bit about this car and this era of Saleens. Randy (svo85) has 86-0147, his is identical on all accounts to mine except he has the Kenwood and is grey in color.

I know what a Saleen is ;) , Rich.

Thanks for all the compliments! The Saleen is on my "do" list at the moment. The SVO will be left alone for a while. The Saleen will be changing as it gets touched up and moded. I will keep you posted.

I've got my weekends spent for the next couple of weeks, at least.

Come by and give me a hand, Rich.

Looks good with the intake Rich. I'm sad to say that yours is going to be a little (just a little! ;) ) faster then mine since mine is still stock! Looks damn good tho'!

The early Saleens didn't have the engine compartment plate, just the interior plate.

Rich and I are going to get them together sometime and compare them up close. We'll post the pics up when we do! 8)

Keep it up Rich, It looks awesome!
