First, I am so glad you guys have the four eye sight I was starting to feel lonely. Anyway, I have a set of drag lites. 15x8 in the back and 15x7 front. The tire shop suggested 215/70/15 front and 245/60/15 rear. 86 GT not lowered and not planning on it. What do you think. I want the skinny look up front but still need to be able to stop if needed.

Maybe you should stick with the stock size up front which is 225/60/15. That way you'll have enough rubber under there to come to a quick stop if you have to.

i'd go with either 205/65/15s up front and 225/60/15s in the back or 225/60/15s in the front and 245/60/15s in the back (a little wider overall)

Hey pextor, thanks man, I think I am going to going with your suggestion. I was afraid that the 70 instead of the 65 would be too tall thanks. to all. Picking up a second job hopefully at the zone if not then will accept the part time position a vitamin store. Right now my baby sits outside with primer spots on her battling the rust demon in need of an inspection. look forward to working with all on the sight. "Four eye dreams baby"

I, too have 205/65/15s up front and they look fine. Same overall diameter as a 225/60/15 more or less. 245/60/15 in the rear should be fine

I run 205/60/15's on a 5" wheel in the front. In the rear I run a 10" wheel and 255/60/15 on the street and 275/50/15 on the track. BFG radial TA's front and rear, I swap to drag radials for the track.

The 15X7 up front is stock size for your year. I would go with 225/60/15. In the back 255/60/15's.
