I have an 85 Gt with these mods:
tfs twisted wedge heads
e 303 cam
1.7 rockers
performer rpm intake
650 barry grant speed demon
1 inch carb spacer
all msd ignition
underdrive pulleys
1 5/8 long tube headers
off road x-pipe
on stock short block.
8.8 with 3.55
megabite lowers
I ran a 12.9@109 spinning bad. I plan on adding a NX 150 shot to this combo. What do you guys think this setup will run now. And what do you guys think about the intake choice for this setup, should I change it. Thanks in advance

Sounds like a pretty matched combo to me. I'd leave the intake. I think its fine for your 302. A high RPM screamer or stroked I'd probably go Air-Gap or Victor Jr.
I would get some slicks or drag radials. That would help your times more than anything right now. Spinning tires will only get worse with the nitrous.

That is what I was thinking about the intake. Also that was leaving at 1500 rpm WITH Nittos.

Anyone else? Have any guesses on times or any other in put on intake.

Just my 2 cents, but I would work on getting the N/A horsepower to the ground first before you go spraying it. Upper control arms to compliment your lowers, drag type shocks, struts, and springs would all be more beneficial to your car right now that just throwing another 150hp of spray at it when the suspension can't handle what's being put to it now. The intake should be good. If you work on getting it to the ground, you should have a solid eleven second car there when you can get your short times squared away. Good luck!

I do need uppers(it has new stock spec uppers on it now). As for the rest of the stuff I have Koni adjustable shocks, eibach springs, but I don't want this to have total drag suspension. I'm really not looking for a all out 1/4 mile car. With a good set of tires I should be able to cut 1.8 maybe a 1.7 and that is fine for this car.

So do I need to ask the mods to move this to the Lounge? So you guys can have an opinion or what? No one runs n2o around here, with close to my setup. If that is the case then all 12 second cars are slow.

Juice it, it makes it alot more fun!!!!!
Set up looks good, NX kits are great, I never had an issue with mine. If your planning slicks, I recomend a 28" tall. Upper are fine if your only drag racing it. Is it an auto or manual? In my opinion (if it's a manual trans) if you leave on the juice(with slicks) the rear end won't last.
If it'll hook it should go 11.50's to 11.70's I imagine.
Oh with my NX kit, the car pulled the best mph in the 1/4 if you kept the bottle pressure above 1050psi. Hope this helps.

I run the vic jr intake, now alot of people say that that is too big for a 302. Their reccomendation is a stealth or perf rpm, wich you have. I'd like to try a stealth and see if it runs any better. It doesn't run bad but on the street you have to keep the rpm's up a lil. again, not a big dea I'm running 4.10 gear. I agree with 4WDUTY all the power in the world is useless if it doesn't hook. What pressure are you running the Nitto's at? How long of a burnout? Get a set of adjustable uppers too, set the pinion angle at -2.
And finally.. by saying stuff like below your not going to get tech help or make many friends.

1. Don't be an ass-hole.
You didn't mention what your 60ft was during that 12.9 @109 run. And how do you know you can cut 1.7-1.8 60ft's? I would say at this point you need to invest in some ET Streets or BFG Drag Radials. Then throw the 150 on it. You should run it with just better tires and see what you can run, that 109mph is good for a 12.5-12.6 quarter. I know because thats what I trap and it's best run is a 12.56 @ 109. I am also planning to throw a 150 shot on it and I expect with traction and good driving it to be a consistent 11.6-11.7 car depending on how long they let me run at the track before they kick me out for no cage.

With todays combo's out there, 12's are relatively slow. but that's aside the point.
You need to maximize that combo, or your only going to make it worse with the nitrous. if you find traction an issue, you can always go with a progressive solenoid that will ease the power level in until you are already moving, plus it's less initial stress on the motor.

As for my 60 ftrs, I pulled a 2.0 and 1.9, 2nd gear got sideways without power shifting both times.
I have a 5 speed.
Burnout were quite long because nittos take a minute to warm up.
PSI was 17-20 psi.
The reason I know I can pull 1.8-1.7s is because good driving is a must. and that I can do.
As for being an asshole that's just me. you can respect that right?.
Just remeber guys I want this to be a street car and have fun with it until the 408 turbo goes in it next march. I think I might put a few little suspension parts juat to make sure. I'm putting my 5 link on order as we speak and coil overs all the way around. Anyway thanks for help guys.
Anyone want to give some real numbers with a 150 shot that is close to my setup.

12.9@109 is strong for those mods...if you can hook you'll go DEEEEEEP in the 11.'s. I'm going 13.0@105 on motor then 11.4@118 with a 150 shot...
