i got a set of used mis matched tires for the rear just to see if they will fit 30 bucks got me a worn down bad goodyear f1 and one almost brand new eagle.they fit awsome and i can push down on the rear with nothing rubbing at all!!!!! so i think im going to try and find 1 more really good 275 that matches the other one.and i bought some brand new 255/40 hankooks for the front.so that will be the true test to see how 17x9 all the way around look and fit ill update on the fronts when they come

What's the offset and backspacing of your rear wheels? The offset and backspacing for all 4 of my cobra rs is 4.95 bs and 20mm offset, so that the tires can be rotated, only problem is now that I have money to spend on tires and stuff I dont care about rotating and it looks like I cant fit a 275 because the rear wheels stick out too far, if the car was loaded down ALOT, enough to make the wheels themselves dip into the fenders, the wheel would be abouut 1/4 from the fenderlip, so I ordered some 255/45/17s and Im going to see how that works out since they are only like 0.8" smaller than a 275, I may have to role the fender alittle but I stil think it will look bad ass with the tires being wider and sticking out more while still fitting in the fenders, I hate the look of cars whith wheels that stick out too far. My wheels ate 17x9" AFS Cobra Rs, Im goin 255s all the way around.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, I love the look of foxes with big tires front and back, I bet your car is going to look bad as hell. keep up the good work man.

thanks man mine are 23mm 17 x9 i think they are the perfect backspacing the 275 fits inside the wheel well but i did have to move my tips over just a tad but thats no big deal the 275/40/17s are not much bigger then my 255/50/16s the 275's arnt as tall .but about a inch a half inch wider

I have 17x9's all the way around with 245/45/17s the 245s are the perfect size for the front. the rubbed a bit til i lowered it even more now they dont; rub at all. they rubbed on teh inside at full lock.

If you are willing to roll the fender lips (not a big deal), beat the inner fender in a bit, and cut part of it (and part of the spring perch) out, you can fit 315/35/17's. The will be flush with the rear fender and look VERY intimidating. They will give you as much traction as you can handle too!!!! Cars have run 9's on 315/35/17 Nitto drag radials!!!

that would be cool but too much cutting and the tires are mega expensive

I run 245/45 on front and 275/40 on back with my 17x9 Chrome Cobra Rs on my '85 GT. I had to use a 1/4 spacer on the front to get the rim to clear my Lakewood Drag struts, but the tire is still inside the fenderwell. I had no other fitment issues. I want to actually go to a wider tire out back.
