Here are two places you can check. http://www.northracecars.com/catalog/brakes/brakes.htm
http://www.svo73mm.cjb.net./
At the very least you can see what you need.

87/88 thundebird turbo coupe rear end, dime a dozen.

comes with the 4 lug rear discs. Do a search anywhere on the net for turbocoupe rearend and you'll come up with more info than you can handle.

it's a decent setup for paying nearly nothing.

Up near me at my yard of fun there are at least 3 t-t-birds 2 stick and 1 auto all with disks and the lowest I can get with my navy discount it at $300 removed and delivered!

Hey, I have a silly question...I found a 1989 Lincoln LSC in the boneyard today and it has an 8.8 rearend with disk brakes already installed. It also looked as if it had all the correct mounting tabs for the control arms for a mustang. Will this bolt in place of my 7.5?

Yes, but the axles are 1.5" wider on each side. Also it has no quad shock mounts. You can use your stock axles and do some grinding/flipping of brackets. That svo73mm or whatever site that gets posted all the time tells you how.

I got one of these axles for FREE!!! it wasn't a traction lok but it came with a traction loc diff out of a mustang (and SN95 spindles and brakes for the front) another plus, they come with 3.27 gears. (beats $50 :P)

I may be buying a quad-shock 8.8 with 3.73s for $250 from the boneyard, or rather I am buying it and I am either installing it in someone else's car for $600 or just swapping over the lincoln axles and disc brakes. I'm running SVO wheels so I need the longer axles. SVOs run lincoln axles.
