you will probably rub up front at or close to full lock.

Others will probably back me up on this, but I'm pretty sure you're gonna rub all the way around. You're gonna have some issues. Why do you feel you need to run a tire this big?? Get some tires that fit, and just run slicks or drag radials at the strip.

255s will rub up front but only at full lock, 285s will rub if you have quad shocks and even if you dont it will be close, with the fight offset and backspacing 275s will be fine if you flip over the quad shocks.
I plan to put the same size tires as you on my car since I have the same wheels, Im probably going to put 275s on the back though instead of 285.
And the reason for doing this is not everyone wants there car to look stock or like a drag car, I like my car with big tires all the way around so it handles as good as it looks.

255's won't rub if you setup the offset correctly.
And 285's will be fine in the back, ONCE AGAIN, if you setup the offset correctly and don't stick the wheels all inboard. Flipping the quad shocks will also help out with clearance.
Ask me how I know - I did it!

So what is the proper offset/backspacing in order to run 275s?

My bs is 4.95" and my offset is +20mm and I can fit 275s fine with quad shocks flipped over, with my wheels I could easily get 285s without them.
