I will be swapping in my 8.8" in soon, i was wondering if i need to swap the hard brake line from the master cylinder back-over to the driver side, from the pass. side? I've searched and read a few threads already, with both yes and no answers. I know that Gary did not have to,others say you need to.....im a little confused now. I have dumps right now,but plan on putting tailpipes on soon after the swap. Those that did the swap, what did you do? Thanks!

Here is a bump for you. I'm pretty sure you can just swap over the 7.5 line and be ok, others for sure will chime in tomorrow.

Thanks. Yeah i remember FC saying that to run dual pipes all the way back you need to switch hardlines. I know some have done it w/o switching,so im curious as to what i should do. I have a guy that has the hard line already pulled for me,i just need to know if i need to buy it from him or not. :? Anyone?

Assuming your 8.8 has the flex line on the driver side You can do what I did. (I have heard that fox-4 cars have the flex line on the pass side)
Buy a chunk of 3/8 hard line from the parts store.
I used 12" I think.
Get the one with the fittings already on the hard line.
Get the driver side brake line bracket from the car that had the 8.8.
This is attached to the body.
Run your new hard line from the pass side up into the driveshaft tunnel and over to the point where the bracket will be. (same spot as where it was on the 8.8 car)
I attached the braket with self tappers.
Now you have the same attatching point for the flex line (the one from the rear end) as mustang 8.8 equiped cars and all you needed was a small chunk of line.
Make sure and get the funky fitting that comes with the hardline bracket.
You will need it to attatch the flex line from the rear.
Does this make any sense?
It seems confusing as I type it, but it was actually super simple.
Oh yeah, I used the rubber lined metal attachment thingys to screw the hard line securely to the body of the car. I have had no problems with the brakes.
