I used to own an 18 foot Regal Bowrider. I had it for three summers. It was fun, but then my daughters were born and it was too much for my wife to enjoy while trying to take care of them. So, I sold it. I kind of miss it though. It would top out at 40 mph.

Luckily, I sold it for more than I paid for it. The only money that I lost was in the insurance/maintenance part of it. ;)

Good luck with your boat. Sea Ray's are a very popular boat around here. My uncle used to own a 340 Sea Ray. It was awesome!

After driving with you, I would hate to be on the water with you, JEEPMAN.

Crazy MFer.... Went from pimpin' the wife's Exploder to thinking it was his racecar (spelled backwards).

You know you want to go for a ride,Kevin!

It has only went 45 on GPS so far,I want at least 55-60 MPH out of it in the spring. I am used to my buddys 311 SR1 Formula that cruises at 60 and tops at 80MPH.I will have my offshore within a couple of years.

I don't really care for boats. If I wanted to piss away money, I'd go buy a dozen more "projects". ;) Seriously, I watched Gilligan's Island too much when I was a kid. I think it ruined the whole boat thing.

It only costs too much money when you cannot work on them yourself.

Maintanince can get you a bit too... We do about $700 worth every winter before it sees the lake again...Then again we get the decals re done, and do a full engine tune-up , and repaint the lettering on the dash every year 8O But we do all our own work... Except the decals.. Did them once...never again...

Yea,mantinence is expected,on my friends formula we do everything ourselves, that is the only way a regular person can afford a offshore boat, when you have twin engines everything is x2. Every year maintenence runs him around 2000-3000 grand as he goes through the drives every year and freshens the valvetrain,5800 rpm on a bigblock takes a toll after a season and we are not easy on this boat.

Haha Yeah, my dad was thinking about pulling the 351W and drooping a 460 with the same 13/13 prop... He says we need more speed for barefooting and more pickup haha
