Very cool. The new Mustang looks great in yellow and red, and the other colors weren't too shabby either.

I feel compelled to note, however, that while I am all for the retro styling and such on cars, that light green color that was so popular in the 1960s was ugly then and it's ugly now.

I wonder how many dollars an hour are made by the guy who does nothing all day but drive the cars off the line. That is a sweet gig.

I drove by a so cal dealer yesterday, because yesterday was the release date. Apparently the cars are "released FROM" detroit on the release date, so this means a minimum of two weeks until they reach southern california dealers. On top of that, they said they expect the first of them to go instantly. I heard on the news last night they have 25,000 pre orders for this car already. They're gonna have a big hit on their hands.

that was a super cool link, thanks for posting. I wish I could just lift a new suspension up in place like that.

I was thinking the same thing about the front suspension/engine installation. Man, my car would have been finished a week earlier if we had done that!

I like the Yellow and Red ones as well. I was surprised to see that the hoods look very wide. They definitely need either a fake scoop or a shaker on that baby. ;)

Thats just plain beautiful, I'm kinda partial to the blue.

One of these days I'll get out of the dark ages and get something faster than dialup. It took awhile but I finally saw the whole thing, thats some awsome footage, and I'm kinda partial to the blue one near the end. I also agree about the hood, good thing the aftermarket is getting a head start, there should be plenty of options right from the git go.

There is SO much aftermarket gearing up that in 20 years we will have arguments with people about what came stock on these cars.

I envision most of them rolling off the dealer lot, driven next door to the speedshop and getting "customized" with 3 miles on the odometer. 20 years from now people will SWEAR all that crap on their car was original. "But It looks like its been there FOREVER!"...heheh. Cars are fun. Its all good.

If Ford re-created the "fox body" 79-86, What do you think it will look like todays standards, I mean with the hatch back and all?

i've thought this before. I don't know that you can re create a box without making it a box,...so to speak.

if they were to ever do a retro fox, i'm thinking maybe two body styles away, maybe 20 years, and they'd probably clone it off a four eye, because they have more styling to them.
