I think the coolest part about it is that it's been that way since the 80's, and has a vintage look to it. The hood doesn't look that bad when you see it in respect to the whole car.

That's a Kamei X-1 urethane air dam. No longer made, but if you can find it on eBay, it's a great piece.

I had one on my 1980 Mustang and it really took a beating, without doing any more damage than scratching the paint. It replaced the Xenon (factory repro type) air dam I had on before, and I considered it to be a better design and a stronger urethane mix. It kept the front end down better on the freeway, and it really helped radiator cooling too.

Yikes. Certainly has a... unique... look to it, eh?

NOT. MY. BAG.

Kudos for being different, AND fitting it under a stock style hood.

I dunno, you can make the same power reliably these days with a 351...

Looks pretty clean to me.

If it were mine I'd have to add back some of the black trim and have the same wheel all around. But like was said already, "very '80s" :)

Earlier this year I built a 545ci ford for my buddies 96GT, but do to money issues we haven't been able to finish it.
But another friend has a 514 in a 90 notch and the first time he took it to the track it scared him so bad he barely made it down the track. He is not a novice either, his other car is a 95 GT with a 347 that runs low 11's. But when he got out of the big block car he said he had never felt anything like it.
