They will fit on a 10 hole. On your 85 you will have to either flip the quads are take em off or the will rub. Also you might have to take a hammer to the inner fender wells. There were a few spots on my 82 I had to hammer. Also you will have to take left and right hand turns slow or the sidewalls will rub the fender lips like in this pic. http://home.comcast.net/~mike82gt/82pics/DRrub.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~mike82gt/82pics/82DRs.jpg

Also when you put em on have a buddy push your car about 10 feet to listen for rubs. You could roll the fender lips. If you have lowered the car I have no idea if the above info will work.

They aren't recommended for 7" wheels. I have known alot of people who ran 265/50s on the 10 holes, not recommended either. There shouldn't be much difference in size between the two.

There's no traction gain between 275s on 10 holes and 235s on 10 holes. The improper fit will not give you any better foot print. I run the 235s and am VERY happy with them, and am glad that I have a tire that fits properly.

Your right it's not recomended for 7inch wheels. As for driveability I have had none. For the record those tires on those wheels have seen low 11's before I tradded for em.

I wouldn't run any more than a 225 or 235 on a 7 inch rim. It looks stupid, adds rotating weight and only costs you more money.

The width of his rims was never mentioned. It is amazing the difference between 225s and 235s on 10 holes as far as looks and, I would suppose, traction.
