Are they stock length axles? If so I'd love a parts list.

Yes they are stock axle lengths.

The set up is my own design (at least I'm claiming it!).

Ranger axles

Cobra rotors, caliper to axle mounting brackets, calipers, and pads.

87-88 T-bird Turbo coupe, or 94-98 mustang rear brake lines (newer mustang lines may fit, but I'm not positive). Mine are turbo coupe because my rear end is from one.

You should be able to use the T-coupe/94-98 Mustang brake lines on a drum rear end by bending the factory lines around a bit.

The key to the set up is the modified caliper to axle mounting brackets.

I've got my old '95 set up (which I just removed) in the for sale section with a picture of the modification. The picture shows the side of the mount that sit on the axle flange. Mods the are same for the Cobra mount.

Basically you cut a notch in the bracket so it fits over the axle and mounts to the inner side of the axle flange, and swap right for left, left for right on the mounts. On one side I had to clearance the mount a tad to clear the factory weld on the axle flange. You may have to do both, or neither, it will vary from car to car.

Some may think that I have weakened the caliper mounting bracket by notching it, and I have a bit. These brackets are beafy though, and it's still as strong or stronger than it needs to be. About 1/2-3/4in. cast iron.
Some of the big name brake co. use C brackets on their conversion kits also. Many folks are running flipped LSC brackets that are basically stamped steel with no problems.

Hope I've helped.
Wrench away.

P.S: Your car is Friggen' HOT!
If I remember right you re-skined your roof. I need to do the same some time in the future. If you can email me any tips, any and all pics you have of the process, I'd appriciate it.

I posted here about the swap. http://www.foureyedpride.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21 I dont know if you have read it or not, but it pretty much summs it up.

This is just after I removed the roof skin and you can see al the rust hiding under there.

I have Koni's on my 5.0 and wouldnt change them for the world. A lot of money but you'll be so happy when they're on there in the end you'll be smiling. Click on my signature to see my suspension specs.

The key to the set up is the modified caliper to axle mounting brackets.

I understand what you needed to do to mod the brackets but which brackets did you end up using? Then simply 94+ cobra calipers and hardware?

Are you using a parking brake? If so how is it set-up?

You need the 94+ Cobra brackets as they are taller. Then the rest is all 94+ Cobra stuff.

I'm still using the T-coupe caliper to axle brake lines.

I don't have parking brake cables yet. I have a set of new 93 Cobra cables that sould work once I get the 93 only body bracket for the handle end of the cables.

Well, a few of us are concerned with suspension and handling.

Get rid of those KYB's. I wouldn't even use them for stock replacements. I liked Konis, but also have Tokicos on my 84 and my 89. They give an excellent ride with the better springs. You can go with the Tokico Blues that are non-adjustable.
