This is probably different from most brake swap topics because I want to keep my 4 lug!! I spent $1500 on 17 in cobra rims when I first started fixing up my car and I dont want to take a $800 hit to buy 5 lug rims.

So does anybody know if I can upgrade my brakes using junkyard parts and maintain 4 lug. I want to upgarde the front and add discs to the rear. Is there any other car that shares my bolt pattern and has a 8.8 4 lug disc rear? Thanks guys

Not junkyard and not exactly cheap. www.p-s-t.com

Another thing you can look for is a turbo coupe, they ussually have 4 lug rear discs and an 8.8 with pretty good gears.

3.55 for Manuals and 3.73s for Automatics I believe. A little wider...but don't be scared of that.

IIRC Baer Brakes offered thier M2300K kit in 4-lug. I didnt know until I saw a 4-lug car with cobra brakes in MM&FF.

If they still make it, you may be able to just buy the 4-lug hubs, and use JY parts to build your own front kit based on SN95 parts.

Out back you can use the flipped lincoln rear disc setup with your stock axles.

You'll have to do have the rotors re-drilled the four-lug pattern. I would suggest having a shop do this, unless you have a drill press and some damn good bits.

Basicly, this depends on Baer still making the M2300K kit in four-lug, and them being willing to sell you just the hubs, or find a place that just sells the hubs.

I thought about setting my brakes up like this for a sleeper appearance for my Fairmont, then changed my mind since the exhaust note kinda ruins the sleeper image and I decided to go with an agressive look. Not to mention its 5-lug now anyway.

You're right on the gears, and theyre .75" wider per side. The quad shock brackets are also different, I'm not sure how though. 87-88 TC's only, IIRC.
