What rim sizes can I get that will fit my 83 glx - 3.8?
Looking to get some 93 cobra rims that are 4 lug.
Thanks

any fox body mustang wheel should bolt right up.
I'm pretty sure those cobras will work fine,...I don't think they used a 5 lug on the 93 cobras, though I could be wrong.

93 Cobra wheels are four lug. Only the 93 Cobra Rs were five. I love those wheels, good choice! However, they're hard to find and rather expensive, but I think you should hold out and save up till you find some.

Don't Thunderbirds around that era have Cobra rims as well...just with a T-Bird emblem center cap?

And the 'bird bolt pattern is different than '84-'86 SVO/'93 Cobra R/'94+ Mustang wheels are:
SVO/'93 R/SN95 wheel lug bolt pattern is 5 x 114 mm (4.5").
MN12 chassis ('89+) Thunderbird/Cougar wheel lug bolt pattern is 5 x 108 mm (4.25").
If you're going to put genuine '93 Cobra (not R) wheels on any non '79-'93 (non SVT) Mustang or '79-'86 Capri, you'll also need the matching ('93 Cobra, not R obviously) rotors and axles, or the wheels will not sit right in the chassis (they'll be too far in and will suffer severe scrubbing).
Also be aware than genuine '93 Cobra wheels are 7.5" wide, requiring a 245 mm tire (only).

thunderbird rims did have the 4 lug pattern but used an incredibly goofy offset and will not work...same way with the 5 lug same design..it sucks because people throw those rims away

Thanks for the update.
Still looking right now. I put some chrome hubcaps on to look a little better than the stock ones.
Also anyone know of a bolt on performance exhaust for the 3.8 motor?
Going to post picds if I can get time and figure it out.

the 4 lug contour SVT wheels should also fit and are available thru Ford Racing Parts but you might wanna check the offset first
I am also doing R&D on a set of headers (longtubes , but there are some mid length available) from a T-Bird super coupe that bolt to the 3.8 and work within the constraints of the 'stang's engine bay. Once I have the things in my hands, and mounted, I will be designing an "H" pipe using 2 small Cats and a factory midpipe between collectors and muffs. The downtubes are 1 3/4 inches and collectors are 3 inches . my exhaust will be 2 1/4 to the back bumper like the GT using GT parts (NON-ADDER sixes like a little back pressure to make power but not too much, as my six will be making about 300HP this is a borderline tube size, but since this is not a track car it is acceptable).

Nice set of 10 holes or turbines will work fine. If you want 16" Pony rims or Turbo coupe "snowflake" rims will work.

I just do not like the 10 hole rims - make the car to plain jain.
Found a nice set of cobra rims but need to find the cash.
I just do not want to be like to little homeys and go put 20's on a mustang - that make s me laugh everytime!
I can get a set of focus svt rims but I think the offset is incorrect.
Thanks all for the ideas.
