will the a arms off a t-bird fit a four eye? if so does it add the track width to the four eye, and also would the t bird k-member of the appropriate year be like the lighter late fox bodied (87-93 i think) mustang unit?

what year tbird? they switched to a different platform in 89 and i know that those will increase your width by quite a bit...the 88 and earliers are on a fox platform

If there is a difference in K-members, the weight difference would probably be non existant anyway.

About the only Fox T-bird K member and rear control arms I am sure will fit the '79-'93 Mustang are the '81-'82 T-birds. The '83-'88 I think are slightly different and the LCA are longer - not 100% sure about the the K member thing, though.

the answer is ...87 and 88 arms will widen your track , and they fit ....bolt right on ...89 up will not work at all and 83-86 are the same as what you have on an 4 eye

the tbird k-member is different. it's defintely wider...at least w/ my experience with 87-88 models. totally different style of engine mount and engine sits higher. i wish i could pove it w/ a picture...go to napa and ask to see a 83-86 & 87-88 v8 mount and compare it to a 79-93 mount for a mustang/CAPRI...post pics too!

u have to consider 87-88 t-birds as a 4-eye! they are the unloved step child of a truly good looking fox coupe. oh so are the real four eye tbirds

Really? Where did you hear that?

I have a set of '88 TC rear springs I kept because I figured they might be stiffer than V8 'stang rears.

is the added track width worth anything?
