Ok, I have an 85 gt vert, my brakes are spongie as hell and my brake light is on, even after bleeding the brakes, one of my budies suggested that the vacum on the power brakes wasn't enough so he suggested I buy a aftermarket vacum maker thingie for 150 bucks, I don't know, I'm cheap, is there something else I can use other then that and other then my manifold to help out my power booster. any ideas? If you need pictures to see what I am talking about I can find some as I'm not always very clear at descriptions.

Weird. The brake light almost never works properly.

Did you do a visual check of your front and rear brakes to see if there was anything wrong? Your booster should be fine unless you have a vacuum leak. If your engine is still running like normal then I'd say you dont have one. You can buy a vacuum gauge at the parts store and check the ammount of vacum you have. I'm running a FMS B-303 cam in my car and I pull 13" of vacuum at 5000 ft elevation and 15" at sea level. My power brakes still work great.

As long as you are 100% sure the brakes are bled properly, I'd say your master cylinder is at fault. Even a bad brake booster wont make the brake light come on. It just makes the pedal stiff as hell.

Its unlikely the vacuum booster isn't pulling hard enough, which would make the peddle feel stiffer rather than softer. Its more likely there is air in the lines somewhere, or you have a bad master cylinder, which is pretty cheap to replace.
