ok guys were ready to rock and roll, (or at least make a lil noise). after my fuel injection class from "madmike" and "fox chassis" i have chosen to convert my stang out to carb. jegs has what appears to be a great deal on a "rpm preformer set up" in comes with the intake , carb .cam and lifters

You cant really go wrong with a matched combo like that. But I dont like Edelbrock carbs but that is just my preference. I'd get a similar CFM Holley(600) and use the Edelbrock cam, lifters and intake.

I agree with Zap. I have used lot's of thier RPM stuff, and have loved all of them. Thier Heads and intakes are awesome. But I'm not a big fan of the carb. It's basically a Carter. They're great for reliability and ease of maintenance, but no where near Holley on performance. I would use the heads, intake and cam, but with a Holley Double Pumper!

allright fellas, between what i have heard from you guys and what what brother has told me, ( he has a 93 lx 5.0 ,sweet ride ) im going with the edelbrock rpm set up. but believe it or not its cheaper to get the whole set up ( carb intake cam and lifters ) then to buy each thing seperately so for now im going with there carb, i can always pick up a holley later on ebay if this setup dont work out.....i wanna thank everybody for all there help on this post and my others..
parts have been orderd and are on the way...now all i need is a day above 32 degrees or a dumpster to get all the **** out of my garage to fit the pony in to do the mods ! lol
i"ll post back in a few with an update ! thanks all

Sounds great, can't wait to hear an update from you. By the way I've never had a problem out of an edelbrock carb. My dad has had one on his 85 LX notch for a few years now, and has yet to foul out a plug with it.....My Holley on the other hand will foul the plugs about every six months if I don't give it enough attention.... and by the way dad's car is no slouch. (though yeah I'll be honest it did make a little more power with the Holley) Bottom line I'm willing to lose a little power for reliability....thats why I'm currently looking for an edelbrock carb.
