What are you looking for?
I have two tanks sitting in my garage right now.
one is a CFI tank and the other is a Carb tank.

Placement of the sender primarly. Got a newer tank, but want a working fuel guage. Can't find any pictures online of anything. If you could get a pic of the carb tank too that'd be nice...I haven't pulled either of my carb tanks yet to look.

What do you mean by placement? I will take some pictures in a litlle while I am running out the door.

I'm not too sure by placement. When I looked up the tanks at PartsAmerica...it displays for the carb car...one hole in the tank. The EFI cars have two holes. And I just looked at the tank I just bought, and it has two sets of wires...one set coming from the middle, the other coming from near the filler neck side(which looks like where the fuel pump is).

CFI/EFI tank you can barely see the center set up for the sender unit. You can see the wires in the middle that is the sender.

This is the Carb tank that I got off of Ghettostangs 84 GT. I am not sure 100% if this is an EFI tank or a carb (5.0 5Spd) but the car was originally a carb car.

Do you have a picture of the fuel pump and sender? Just pulled my 85's carb tank, and then tested what was supposed to be an 86 GT tank's sender and it reads backwards.

Then what you have is a 87-93 tank. I have an 89 4cyl tank in the black 85 CFI car and the fuel guage reads backwards. I need to get a sender out of my other tank and install it for it to read right.
They are all installed the same way it is just the sender istelf is different.

Cause both the "86GT" sender and the 92GT sender I have...read backwards when installed in the 85...BUT...give different readings with my meter.

From some research, the early 87s had older style senders and the one I have looks identical to that, the 92 I have is slightly different mechincally, arm is the same and all, but the sweeping arm is different.
Big thanks.
Now to hope my slightly chinked plastic line isn't too damaged 8O
