You dont need mass air, you just need to have your speed density computer tuned or else it wont run right, mass air lets you make modifications like that without having to have your comp programed for the modifications.
How do I have it tuned?? could a regular garage do it?? Thanks for the info

You will have to have it dyno tuned, a speedshop can do this.

Much wiser to convert to mass-air. You'll have to have your Speed Density computer reprogrammed after every major wave of modifications. With mass-air, the computer will adjust for you! Take the time, and do it right the first time. Also, an E303 cam will offer you no benefits on a stock motor besides reduced gas mileage! Save the stock-motor cam swaps for redneck Mopar wrenchers...

Yep! Your car will suck to drive! It will stall everytime you slow down or stop, get bad mileage, & stumble a lot! Convert to mass air, even with a stock cam if you're swapping to a higher flowing intake & exhaust system. Speed Density can be VERY touchy!

You can run heads, intake, t-body, exhaust, nos, all sorts of stuff with speed density..
Just dont screw with the vacume signal, a cam swap will do this.

By the time you spent time and money on having a shop tune your speed density, you may as well have converted it to mass-air. You'll probably get the same story from any decent tuning shop that you'll go to asking to tune the combo. Spend maybe $125 for a computer on e-bay, along with the wire and connector you'll need for the mass air flow sensor $35 (easy to wire in). Then just a used stock mass airflow meter $25-35 and the correct 2 piece intake tube $20. All can be easily found on e-bay for about the money I posted. Then the sky is the limit for modifications instead of a once and done thing like the speed density tuning.
Just my two cents.

I have the complete directions from PRO-M on the wiring if interested....
Agreed on the whole tune the speed density set up..
The cost of a custom chip, plus dyno run, plus paying the tuner would buy a FMS maf kit..

The onlything you have incommon in this thread is the fact you bought the same cam. Carbed cars are completely different animals than fuel injection. Dont; expect teh world to change but you will see some gains for sure.
AS for teh original post. I wold switch to mass air liek everyoen said. They are right by the time you gte done paying for dyno time you could have converted to mass air and have the room for more modifications. I have heard of dyno time costing anywhere from $70 to $150 an hour. usually 3 pulls. If you are really tryign to get everything dialed in or have an issue and it takes a couple of hours to really get it tunned right (I have never liked only 3 pulls) then you will greatly out weigh the cost of converting to mass air. I think you will enjoy driving yrou stang more if you convert, speed density while not a bad thing, can cause a lot of headaches once you start changing cams if your not very well versed in it.
