I am restoring the interior of my 85 GT and for a cleaner look i removed the rear seat. I know there is Dugan Racing rear seat delete for 87-93 mustangs, but no for my four eyed ride. There is a small section where the rear seat used to be that doesn't have carpet over it. Has anyone found a way of overcoming this?If so any help or pictures would be cool.

No offense, but I've never understood why anyone would buy a rear seat delete. I mean, even the name sounds like an oxymoron. But anyway! I removed my rear seat and just carpeted that whole back area. I bought regular flat replacement carpet from Pep Boys. My interior is all black, so it blends together really well. I don't have any pictures of it, but I can take some if you're still interested.

I took the rear seat out of my car also, i am just going to carpet it too. Just dont feel like wasting the money right now on pointless carpet, But eventually i'll get it from 50resto.

I'm going to be doing it to my 86 coupe but before I finish the area, I'll be installing a 6 point roll bar . I would like to see some pics also. Thanks

You mean, you're modifying your interior. To restore means to return it to the condition it was in when new.
Those deletes I've seen on eBay are "plans" some guy is trying to sell for $10 or so.

Thanks. See what I mean about a "rear seat delete?" Why buy one of those things when you can just carpet it? The roll bar is a Wolfe Race Craft. It's a company down in Texas. It's great piece. I recommend it to anyone who asks.

My mother always said that if I didn't have anything good to say, then I shouldn't say anything at all.

That a coupe or a hatch? I couldn't help but notice what looks to be a firewall... ? I'd like to put one in my coupe for safety reasons, but am not quite sure about construction, etc. Any ideas/tips would be great.

I like the "idea" of rear seat deletes, but I also like having a rear seat.

For $70 I think most folks can come up with something that looks better.
I'll also add that I think the '94-04 coupe version looks the best (least crappy :?: ).

My car is a hatch. All Capris were hachbacks (except a few oddballs in Mexico). And yes, that is a rear firewall. It's a pre-fabbed piece of aluminum from WolfeRacecraft down in Texas. It's a very nice unit that simply pop rivets into place. I've moved my battery to the rear corner, so the firewall is required at the track.

Uhhh yeah, I knew that... uhmm... I was just testing you :D
That's cool, I think I'll have to give them a call. Sounds like a very nice piece. Thanks for the info!
