1984 Merc. Capri. $250. junkyard bomb. It had a blown up 4 cylinder. Now sports a Carbed roller 302 w/5 speed.

I really debated on leaving it stock or going wih the late model ground effects and quarter windows. Well as you can see I went for it. I even lucked up on the air dam **FREEBIE**! But it was a lot of work to make it match up with the mustang front fender extentions.

Color is 69 Grabber blue

Since the pics were taken I have put the windshield in, but haven't taken more pics yet.

Let me know what you guys think good or bad...

Looks great, not sure I like the 1/4 windows but otherwise good job.

I like it.

I just wish there was some type of rear spoiler to break up that back end a little.

Overall not to shabby!

I am not trying to be a dick...just constructive critisism as you asked

I like ground effects...but it looks a bit funky without a rear valance.

I am not a fan of the quarter windows....capri's shouldn't say mustang...

I'm ...ok.... with the color...
Like the wheels...
Like the fender extension
Like the airdam
Love the hood scoop

LOVE you saved it from a junkyard!
Keep up the good work!

looks really good, but ditto on those 1/4 windows, and a spoiler would be a nice addition, and a rear valanceas well.

 That is the nicest Capri that I have seen in a long time it is nice to see one with a few personal touches.
I would put a Saleen rear valance on it if it were mine as I have always been partial to those, and they seem to highlight the dual exhaust well.

Looks Nice...

Yeah a McClaren Spoiler on that bubble would really help the looks... But then again... I'm a sucker for the McClaren spoiler bubble back :D

I agree, put sail panels back on and get a Saleen rear valance. Then it would be awsome :)

:D I like the quarter windows, there are only what 4 choices for sail panels? (As far as sail panels go,you only have 4 choices the original Capri, the Mustang,or the two hard to find and expensive ones, the McLaren,or the Svo, or the fifth, Full quarter windows.) He can always get the stick on Svo style sail panels later if he chooses (to cover the mustang on the quarter window). As long as he does not switch to the newer style dash it's all good.(Even if he did it is still his car!) I like the Mclaren hatch spoiler, but they are expensive and hard to find! (Wish I had one!!)

Hmmm wonder how close a 944 Turbo Spoiler comes to fitting the bubble back?

Looks great. I may be the exception, but I like it without a spoiler.

Sweet Like the color nix the 1/4 windowsthough grabber green is a good color too And. I almost found out if the 944 spoiler would fit but the guy came out as I was about to measure the with but I had backed my capri right up to the rear of the 944 and was about the same. The 928 is also very simlar although one is foam rubber.

Looks good!

I agree with some of the others, though...it needs some type of rear valence.

I would probably lower it an inch or 2 too.

I also like it without a big rear wing.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the input.. I'm considering a rear valance, I've used the Saleen before, and I like it, but I would like to find something a little different.

I REALLY want a spoiler for it, but what are my choices?? The only one I've ever seen is the ASC. Are there any other options?? CAN an asc spoiler be found anywhere? I am willing to pay a premium if one can be located.

I STILL want to build a 460 for it though..........

There are no supplies left of the rear wing anymore. Even the ascMcLaren guy down in Florida does not have anymore it seems.

...and no there are no other options...yet.

The later-model quarter windows look great! I'm not a fan of the bubble-back Capri thing, but that looks pretty good from the front.

Not a fan of the quarter windows...my Capri had it done before I got it. Now I am dying to ditch them. Also not big on the ground effects, especially since it still says Mustang GT on 'em. I'd paint some of the trim black to break up the grabber just a bit. Overall, it looks good, just some tweaking here and there. :)
