Im having some problems keeping my hatch lined up and it seems there is a lot of play in one of the hinges. Does anyone know of a repair kit for these? are there bushings in this similar to the doors? What am I up against here?
You can buy new hinges from Ford and some autobody supply shops have them. Make sure the brand you buy has a good reputation.

Dont know if this has anything to do with your problem, well not the hinges anyway...recently,my striker bolt threw its plastic bushing;cracked and split and departed.Well ,after that, the hatch would not stay latched.Even before that,if I went around a corner just wrong, the hatch would pop loose.
Anyway,I was in ACE hardware looking for something, and was looking through those parts bins they have, and saw a bronze bushing that looked about the same size.I brought in the plastic one and it matched EXACTLY.So I installed it...took a little adjusting ,but the hatch does NOT pop loose anymore.

Im sure you can find a pair of those hinges really easy at a junkyard. for like 5 bucks. It might take some time to get them off though. Although its worth it instead of buying some new ones. Also if you go to the junkyard to get a pair (im sure you can at least find 2 pairs) you dont have to worry about breaking somthing in the process of getting them off. So you will know what to do when you take them off your car.
