Prod. #'s on '85 5.0/5sp Coupe?????

Hello Foureyedpride! I have an original '85 5.0 5sp Coupe that wasn't a special service car. The guy I bought it from special ordered it from Ford with the trunk so his golf clubs wouldn't be out in the open. What I'm curious about is the production numbers for that combo and how many were special service vs. special order. I know it's pretty rare just not sure how rare. Any info or a direction to look would be appreciated.TD21

We cannot break them down by options, such as transmission. But that is basically as close as you'll get.

Hey Tangodelta, I have one also!! I ordered mine new and have kept it all these years. That engine/body combo became available in the Spring of 1985. I remember reading an article on it in the March or April 1985 issue of Car Craft magazine. They called it The Boss is Back. I paid $9400 bucks for it with dealer installed 3.73 Ranger gears in the 7.5 rear. I liked the plain jane look with 210 HP engine package. Hey I still have the original 10 hole GT/LX wheels with the factroy Gators mounted, sitting on the shelf....4000 miles on them and hard as concret!
