Center Console install pictures?

Anyone have pictures of the center console being removed or taken out? I'm trying to buy a console for my Stang and want to know what it'll require to put it into mine since it didn't come with one from the factory.

Theres a bracket under the ashtray that has two phillips screws in it, and theres another one under the consoles compartment. There are four phillips screws in the bottom of the compartment, and the bracket underneath bolts the the floorboard.

To take the console out of the donor, just take the ashtray out, remove the screws, then open the lid/armrest, take the Ebrake panel out (two phillips screws, then it just pops out towards the front of the car), then take the four screws out of the bottom, and take the bracket out of the floorboard. Ohyeah, unplugg the wiring to the clock/bulb display first.

Drill holes in your floorboard and install is the reverse of removal. Since the cars an 86 it proably has the dimples where the holes need to be drilled.

I thought all stangs had consoles by 86 :? Learn something new every day

I've also got an 86 coupe that didn't come with a console. :x

I think it was standard on GTs and a option on the LX Coupes.

Anyway, I'm hoping he has most of what I need since the console was already pulled from a vehicle.
