Did My Car Come With Cruise Control?

My '85 Capri GS, its a 4 speed standard but it has a cruise control steering wheel. i dont think it had cruise, its funny because all the capris in the recycler have the same problem. Wasnt my car supposed to come with a 4 arm wheel?

My 86 had a manual 4-speed also. Of course I have since changed it out to a 5 speed.

Look for a fat(7/32") vacuum line attached to a switch operated by the brake pedal.This is the bleed hose ,to release vacuum from the transducer which holds the throttle when the cruise is set.If it is there,you most likely have cruise.I do not know when Ford started putting the vehicle speed sensor on the speedo drive gear--two wire sensor that goes into the trans housing,and the speedo cable goes into it--but this is what they activated the criuse on my '86.The non-factory cruise cars don't have this.Lastly,if you have the drivers fender off,behind it in the fenderwell is where they hide the transducer,the module is somewhere under the dash,but I've never ID'd mine.
