hey, i have an 83 5.0 notchback and i havent really found very much info on it or any 83-84 5.0 notchbacks. Does anyone know of any good websites or info???

I don't know any sites that are more dedicated to the 79-86 Mustangs than this, so asking any question you may have, this is the site for you.

Here's the Production Numbers for 1983, can give you an estimate...

1983
Notch: 33,201
Hatch: 64,234
Convertible: 23,438
Total: 120, 873

GT convertible production: 1,001
Non-GT 5.0 production: 7,891
GT: 27,649

They also put 4 speeds in them until decenber 83 and the rest came with the 5 sp. Unfortunately mine was made before december

They did not automatically come with a T-5 during and after December of '82. The SROD was optional throughout the rest of the '83 model year, although not exactly popular.

srod was optional? i thought it was a running change?

SROD was a $75.00 credit for the remainder of the year.

Through early Dec. '82 the SROD was standard with GT and 5.0L GLX.

From early Dec. '82 through the end of the '83 model year the T-5 was standard with the GT and 5.0L GLX and the SROD was optional with a $124 credit.
