Just wondering if anyone has had any experiance with Champion Fibreglass Products. I noticed on eBay that they produce a 3" cowl hood for a 79-86 Capri. For anyone that is interested and wants to check it out it's listed under item #2402074238.

If you want to go cowl and get a better quality hood...definetly go with Cincinnati Composites...they make cowl hoods for Four Eye Mustangs & Capris from 2.5" to 4" and with a full inner too.. the 2.5" with a full inner is about 299 with freight. And if you order their hoods with a money order they knock off 5%. Their full inner hoods are better than their regualr hoods...the Full inner is more but ALOT stronger.
I've been using CC for 3 of my 5.0's and I think they make pretty good crap.

this is the 1st person i have ever heard that praised cincinatti composite hoods.i live an hour from cincinatti andd have seen so many of the hoods they make.they sell them in mass quanitys at the local swap meets.these things are trash.never put one on a race car i have had people i know have the split apart going down the road at a decent speed. go to www.corral .net there is a post on there and they will also tell you all about them.the only hood i run on all of my mustangs is h.o fibertrends.

I'v heard nothing good about cininnati composites .
A few years ago I called them . It was long distance to call . Then I got
a answering machine .
I left a message to call me back . I never heard from them since .
Try www.usbodysource.com
I had a hard time finding a stock looking 79 glasshood .
The hood was suppose to use factory hood latch . It didn't . :(
I think 79s are different , so I used stainless hood pins from Summit .
Its very ridgid .
With shipping it cost $480 + hood pins .
They also sell the lightweight version for less money .

not sure how old this thread is, but cincinattie composites are absolute crap. There was an incredibly long thread on the corral. LOTS and lots and lots of people came out with horror stories about that company.
At one point they had bought cervini old molds and were using them, but I guess molds get old after a while, and they turned to crap, then cervini forced them to stop using the mold, and went to their own crappy one. Stay far far away!!!
