OK, I have an 83 Mustang, and I plan on maybe using the 79-82 pace car airdam and upper nose.. now here's where the questions begin..
A) Just to confirm what I thought, The headlight reinforcement bars are different right? The one for the pace car grille has one of the upper mount tabs broke off that attach to the rad support at the top.. and I see that someone has tried to fix this bar before with fiberglass
B)The Plastic cowl at the base of the windshield.. How different are they? Do I have to use the 79-82 one, or can I use the one that I have on the 83?
Thoughts and comments are welcome..
Thanks

You'll also have to change the hood. I'm not sure about the cowl, but Rickie C has done this to his 85, so he'll know whether or not it'll work.

yeah, i knew about the hood, i need another hood scoop too... I can get a hood in great shape for nothing, all i have to do is venture up the mountain to get it.

Sleeper GT, if you use the '79-'82 Pace Car style airdam/upper nose pieces, you will also need a '79-'82 hood and a cowl vent. The cowl vent matches up with the lines in the hood (the '83-up cowl vents were wider). As for the reinforcement bar, I can't help you there, because I don't know if mine is different or not. Good luck with your project.

I don't know if a cowl vent from a Capri will work, as I'm unsure of their dimensions. I'm sure if you posted this question in the Capri Forum, you'll get some additional help. :)

I put an 82 GT hood and nose on my 85 GT. Everything lines up...The cowl for 85 is wider than the cowl for 82 though..So some of the hols for the smaller one won't line up.. I just kept the wide one on and trimmed it so that hte hood doesn't scrape it when I open the hood. lol
As far as i know, it is very straight forward as long as it is all going on a 4 eyed car. Pretty much plug and play.
