Seriously dreaming, but....

:cry: Ok guys, I know this is a serious longshot, but, I need a cowl hood for another Capri. My 86 has a 2" fiberglass hood that came on it when I bought it. Now a friend bought a 79 and wants a cowl too. My hood has no brand name or part numbers anywhere on it anywhere. What I'm asking for is any leads or any ideas as to who may still make them? I've tried looking online at most of the bigger advertisers in the poplar Mustang mags with no luck :x Any help wold be appreciated!! Also, if anyone would happen to have one they wanted to get rid of (yeah,right!!) we'd be interested in talking to you too. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give, RAY

You should check with Mike Coke he has one on his Capri He'll tell you where to go or EVL85GT they an help you .

Howdy.

Mike has a Maier Racing hood. The fit is very nice, and he's quite happy with it. It's definitely for go more than show, as the underside is not fully finished and it's extremely light. http://www.maierracing.com/lcomp.html

H.O. Fibertrends makes Capri cowls as well, but I've never seen one in person. I'm sure the quality is very good, though, as they are OEM body part MFRs. http://www.hofibertrends.com/products.htm
