Hey guys! I have a 1980 Ford Mustang Cobra. I am now ready to restore the outside (which isn't in bad condition at all), but can't seem to find the original decal kits anywhere. Does anyone know of any websites that supply these? Should I just get them done locally at a vinyl shop or decal shop? Im going to be doing the same paintscheme, but may decided on diff. colors than the Orange I have now.
Thanks for any links/advise.

Hey evlgt... they are discontinued also. They do have the side stripes though. Thats who I was going to go with in the first place, but found the "DISCONTINUED" logo on most of that stuff. GRRRRR

I'd call them and press them about making more, etc.

You'd be surprised what that can do.

There are quite a few ppl looking for these things for their cars, and places who make them need to know it. The more calls they get, the quicker they'll produce more.

You can always have the decals painted on, lasts a lot longer, and gives the car a loving touch, but Graphics Express decals are really top of the line. My buddy's '93 Cobra has their decals and he hasn't noticed any fading or peeling in the 4 years that he has had them on the car.

Give them a call and they will usually special make the decals, even though the set is discontinued.

VenomouS, You may be in luck. I bought my hood decal, hood scoop stripes, and twin Cobra stickers last year from Phoenix Graphics in Phoenix, Arizona. I paid $207.00, but my '79 doesn't have as many decals as the '80-'81's. I too, had the same problem as you. Everything was discontinued! I called them, they agreed to make them, and they were true to their word. There were two drawbacks though. The first, was waiting (6-months)! I wasn't complaining though as I was happy to even be able to get them. The second, on the hood decal, the stripe wasn't long enough to go under the hood scoop. In fact, it was probably 1/2 in short. I just moved the hood scoop forward and you can't even tell. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with the end result's. I think you will be too! They have an on-line website and do advertise the kit that you're looking for. Good Luck!

I emailed Graphic Express about doing some custom decals and they said they could do tham with more info on what i wanted. I never emailed them back because my project got put on the back-burner (the same car is still there :x ).

I'm sure they could re-print them.

I am actually just going to paint mine in. I have friends that do a lot of custom airbrushing and they pretty much think I was a total moron for even wanting too buy them in the first place. After seeing how easy it would be too paint and the benifits too long term vs. short expecially if its a daily driver, its a no brainer.
