How different are T-top/vert doors from regular doors. Would it be possible to modifiya regular door (remove the window frame) to fit a t-top car? Really just wondering. The reason I ask is that I'm going to a junk yard that you pay 40 bucks and can take whatever you can carry. I may try and walk out with a pair of doors that are in better shape then mine. The only thing is that t-top/verts will be hard to come by in the yard. When, or if, I replace my doors I'll try and find a good set of t-top/vert doors. I may just try a save my current doors, they're not in really bad shape.

from what I've seen yes you can do that, its just a matter of cutting the window frames. Just make sure you measure your current doors, and you will obviously have to change the foam gasketing around the top of the doors from your old doors to the new ones. Good luck

It will be a little tough. Plus you will need to stiffen the frame. a lot of the fox bodies structural integraty comes from the roof.

I done 1 already and if my choice was to do it again or fix a rusty door I'd do it again. Took an afternoon to do. Make sure you get a good spot weld cutter for removing the window track from the lock side and the reiforcing bar from the door. Had a great deal of trouble removing glued pieces from front of door. Lock side of door has to be trimmed and welded for the rubber seal to fit right. Use the window track from your original door here as it differs from the sedan door. measure carefully. make sure you reuse all reenforcing from original door. alan
