i have a 1986 mustang gt that needs a new radiator support and passenger side inner fender forward of the strut tower replaced. i found a front inner structure cut at the firewall online that says for 87-89 or 90-93. will either of these fit my '86? how hard is it to replace the inner fender metal?? the car is not bent just needs this replaced. here is a link to a pic of the inner structure:

Do you have any pics of the damage? You're looking at a serious amount of money. Basically, if an insurance company were to handle it, they'd call the car totaled unless it was in otherwise perfect condition before the incident or professionally appraised at an incredibly high value.

no not at the moment i could post some pics later though. i bought the car this way. i just hate to see another 4-eye go to the scrap yard. the car runs and drives perfect. it just needs the rad. support and pass. side inner fender replaced.

Yep, I hear ya. Insurance companies and others worried about financial stuff more than matters of passion or emotional value won't understand.

If you are any good with a welder it is really not that bad. I put a new core support on my friends stang a couple of years ago and just had to pay a body shop about 300 bucks to straighten the front end before welding the new one on. If you cut the seams just in front of the shock towers it is pretty easy work (just time consuming).
