The consecutive unit number begins with '48.' If the 6th and 7th places in the VIN aren't 48, then it wasn't born a Pace Car.

And since there were made in both Dearborn and SanJose, and did get unique unit numbers starting with 48 there are sister cars...cars with identical consecutive unit numbers from each plant. Only the assenbly plant digit will be different!

I just went to take a look at my baby (My Pace Car) and yeh it does start with a 48. :D Woohoo it's real! :D Do you know if they all came equipped with the tri-ax rims?

They all came with the TRX rims.
